Frequently Asked Questions
Who is spiritual direction for?
Individuals seek spiritual direction for a variety of reasons: a deeper prayer life and walk with God; guidance through life transitions; spiritual support in navigating a calling; deeper integration of spiritual and daily life; prayer companionship; desire for dedicated sacred space to share one’s questions, challenges, and hopes.
What does a session look like?
Sessions are typically one hour, where we trace together the footprints of the Spirit’s movement and explore spiritual practices that strengthen our souls in the journey with God.
The true Director is the Holy Spirit, or Divine, who leads and guides as the directee explores their spiritual life. The companioning director prayerfully hosts the space, listens, and provides compassionate witness and care around the experience of the directee.
It is ultimately not an experience ’about’ God, but an experience ‘with’ God.
How often do you meet for sessions?
Typically we meet once a month for 60 min. Spiritual direction can be offered long-term over the course of someone’s life, for a season, or during a period of transition or discernment.
